Planning to ride Disney's monorail? Here's everything you need to know!

WHAT ARE THE HOURS OF OPERATION?

Disney World’s Monorail system starts its day 30 minutes before the parks open and closes 1-2 hours after closing. Trains arrive every 5-8 minutes.

ARE STROLLERS ALLOWED?

Absolutely! Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted and monorail attendants can help you with both.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO RIDE?

The monorail is totally free! (Note that you will have to pay to park at Disney, if you are driving there.)

CAN ANYONE RIDE?

Yes! No ticket or reservation required.

CAN I SIT UP FRONT WITH THE PILOT?

While this was once the norm, it's no longer permitted due to safety concerns.

DOES IT GO TO ALL THE PARKS?

No, it only goes to Magic Kingdom and Epcot.

DOES THE MONORAIL GO ANYWHERE ELSE?

In addition to EPCOT and Magic Kingdom, there are stops at the Contemporary, Polynesian and Grand Floridian resorts.

CAN YOU JUST RIDE THE MONORAIL?

Yes! You don't have to be a guest at a Disney resort or going to a Disney park to ride.
