Rope Drop  Vs  Early Entry

Getting to Walt Disney World EARLY is the key to having a truly magical time at the parks.  Two ways to do that are Rope Drop and Early Entry.

ROPE DROP

Rope Drop is the term Disney uses for when a theme park opens to the public and guests are allowed in. Visitors staying offsite benefit most from this feature.

EARLY ENTRY

Early Entry is a benefit for guests staying at one of the Disney World hotels and resorts. It gives them a 30-minute early entry into any of the Disney World theme parks.

The main difference between Rope Drop and Early Entry is a matter of where you're staying. If you're a Disney hotel guest, your early morning timeline will start at about the same time as if you're staying offsite and using rope drop — but the logistics will look different.
