Disney’s Lightning Lane Premier Pass – Skip Every Single Line At The Parks!

One of the biggest downsides of Walt Disney World is waiting in line for attractions. If you look at your Disney app right now you can check the wait times – you’ll likely see massive lines for Guardians of the Galaxy, Tron, Peter Pan, and Rise of the Resistance. Of course, on busy days almost every attraction has a significant wait time!

One of the easiest ways to combat wait times is to utilize Lightning Lanes. Lightning Lanes is an add-on purchase that allows you to choose 3 attractions to skip the lines. During the course of the day you can add on additional attractions. You can read more about Lightning Lanes here.

Lightning Lanes do have their downsides, and Disney is aware of that. Disney also knows that people are willing to spend huge amounts of money at their parks. Introducing: Lightning Lane Premier Pass.

How Much Is The Lightning Lane Premier Pass

The Lightning Lane Premier Pass price varies by day and by park. While Disney does not advertise a specific price range, we have seen the pass start at $329 per person and go up from there.

Guests of Disney Resort hotels and other select hotels can purchase passes up to seven days in advance of their stay. Guests staying off-site can purchase passes up to three days in advance of their park visit.

How The Lightning Lane Premier Pass Works

Get one-time entry to each available Lightning Lane experience in a park for one day. This includes the most in-demand attractions. Ride all the attractions you want, when you want.

All you have to do is go to the attraction you wish to skip the line for, scan your MagicBand in the Lightning Lane queue, and you are good to go! Your My Disney Experience app will keep track of which attractions you have redeemed.

Can I Use My Premier Pass In More Than One Park?

The Lightning Lane Premier pass is only valid for one park per day. If you are planning on park hopping and choose to use the premier pass you will only be able to use the pass in the park it was purchased for.

To make this abundantly clear, if you purchase the Lightning Lane Premier Pass for Magic Kingdom and decide to park hop to EPCOT, you will not be able to use the pass in EPCOT.

How does Lightning Lane Premier Pass differ from Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass?

  • With all three types of passes you get to skip the lines.
  • Premier Pass gives you the flexibility to ride when you want. The other lightning lane options require you to pick arrival windows for your options.
  • Premier Pass gives you the chance to experience all attractions. When using the other options you are only guaranteed one (single pass) or three (multi pass)
  • Premier Pass and Multi Pass both include photo perks – you’ll receive digital downloads of select attraction photos and videos from your day, captured with Disney PhotoPass Service.

Disney’s Lightning Lane Premier Pass is definitely a luxury item and is out of reach financially for a large part of the population. That being said, it may be something you would like to save up for! We have a list of some of our other favorite splurge items here.
