If you are headed to Disney World during the hot summer months, you really need to be prepared. When we say it’s hot, we mean it is very, very, hot and humid. From June-August the “feels like” temperature often exceeds 100 degrees! April, May, September, and October can also have much higher temperatures than you may be used to.
You are spending a lot of money to visit the Disney Parks, so we want to help you be prepared for the heat. Staying cool and hydrated needs to be a high priority for you. We always recommend staying on a budget and not buying unnecessary items…but we do feel strongly that you need to have things that will help you beat the heat in the parks.
Spending $50 on a couple cooling items for your family to share will be well worth it when you are standing in Hollywood Studios, yearning for some shade! And don’t forget, you can use these things at home too!

Here are some of the best products to help you stay cool in the Disney Parks!
1. Neck Fan
These have become very popular over the years and for good reason. Neck fans give you hands free cooling all day long! Not having to hold a fan in your hands is important at the parks. You are often holding a phone, a child’s hand, pushing a stroller, or carrying a souvenir bag!

2. Handheld Fan
One perk of the handheld fans is their portable size. You can easily fit a few of these in a small purse or backpack, which would allow you to have one for each member of your family! 3. Cooling Towel

4. SPF long sleeve shirt

If you have long hair (or have kids with long hair), buy these and put them in your travel bag and don’t take them out! Jen introduced these to me and now it is the only brand we use at home. 13. Small Microfiber Towel
I purchased these small towels for my husband to throw in his basketball bag to give him something to use to wipe up sweat after his weekly games. I wasn’t sure if they would be useful or not – but he uses them EVERY week! These are small, about the size of a washcloth, but you don’t really need anything much bigger.
These are useful for wiping sweat, drying hands, wiping off a seat after a Florida thunderstorm….the options or endless. They dry extremely fast and take up zero space in your park bag!
