We Spent Thousands at Polynesian’s Club Level – We Spill Everything!

On our last trip to Walt Disney World we stayed at Disney’s Polynesian resort in the Club level. It was an incredible experience! Club level is a splurge, so we wanted to give you a run down of what it is like so you can decide if this is something you want to spend your money on.

Club level is available at every Deluxe level Disney resort. While club level varies a bit from resort to resort, there are a few things that are the same. Club level offers breakfast, daytimes snacks, evening food and dessert. Drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, are available throughout the day. Club levels have concierge cast members that are available only to those staying at on the club level.

Disney’s Polynesian Club Level Location

When you arrive at the Polynesian you will be greeted by cast members. Let the cast members know immediately that you are in club level. This will make your check in much smoother, as you will be checking in with cast members in a different building.

The King Kamehameha Club Level is located in a separate building (Hawaii) a short walk from the Great Ceremonial House. You will need to scan your MagicBand in order to enter the building once you are checked in.

Once we got to the correct building check in was convenient and easy. There was bottled water, POG juice, snacks, and treats available. The cast members were fantastic and made us feel right at home.

Once we were checked into our rooms we took a few minutes to explore the space!

The club level building is three levels. There are rooms located on all 3 levels. The second floor has the main lounge/dining space. The third floor has a smaller, kid friendly balcony with a TV and some tables. There are doors that cast members close in the evening to keep the noise from traveling from the lounge spaces to the rooms.

One of the biggest perks of club level for our family of 12 was the lounge spaces. This gave us the freedom to hang out in a bigger group outside of our hotel room. The private building gave an extra level of safety – we felt very free to let the kids head down to grab some snacks or drinks.

If some people wanted to stay up later than others we would head down to the lounge! Those that wanted to sleep could without being bothered by those that wanted to stay up. It was a perfect set up for our family.

Disney’s Polynesian Club Level Food

If you have been following along on how we planned our big family trip you will know that food was one of the biggest factors for why we chose the club level at the Polynesian.

Schedules can differ from resort to resort, but typically you can expect it to be something similar to this:

  • Coffee: 6:30 am – 7:00 am
  • Continental breakfast: 7:00 am – 10:30 am
  • Light snacks: 11:30 am – 4:00 pm
  • Hors d’oeuvres & select beverages (wine and beer): 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm
  • Desserts and cordials: 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm

We absolutely loved the food offerings at the Polynesian. Much of the food were samples of what you can find at restaurants in The Polynesian.

Polynesian Coffee Club Level

Breakfast consisted of typical breakfast offerings – cereal, eggs, French toast sticks, fruit, juice, yogurt, oatmeal. There was a bit of variety every day. There was plenty of protein options to get you going. An espresso machine is available all day to make your favorite specialty coffee drink at any time!

The light snacks were the same every day – cheese and crackers, build your own trail mix (nuts, dried fruit, candies), and fresh fruit. There were often granola bars and Uncrustables available and plenty of beverage options. These were perfect options to snack on while taking a beak from the pool on our rest day!

Hors d’oeuvres options were delightful. These are served on small plates – single serving portions – but you can take as many as you would like. The food does have a Polynesian flair to it – we had chicken Wellington, chicken strips, meatballs, cheeseburger egg rolls, and charcuterie options. There was always a kid friendly option at dinner and plenty of beverage options – both alcoholic and non- alcoholic.

The evening desserts were definitely a favorite. While the dessert options were nothing to write home about, having something available was nice. Every night there were cookies and ice cream. There was a rotating selection of cupcakes, cake pops, cream puffs, tarts, and more!

During the desserts you can view the Magic Kingdom fireworks out the window. The music gets piped into the dining area – it is very magical!

One of our favorite parts was the availability of Baileys, Frangelico, Grand Marnier, & Kahlua to put in your evening coffee or on ice cream!

Cast Member Concierge

We ended up utilizing the cast members at the concierge desk more than we anticipated! There were almost always 2 cast members available to help us with any need or question we had.

One evening we were trying to figure out where to purchase some decongestant, and we were able to get some right in our building! Another time we asked where to find a volleyball and about 5 minutes later the concierge cast member found us and gave us a volleyball to use. One of Jen’s kids forgot his goggles and the concierge was able to help us get some goggles quickly and easily. We even had some pixie dust thrown our way by these incredible cast members!

Club Level Pricing

Here’s the million dollar question – how much does it cost to stay at a club level? Of course, we can’t answer that directly – so much depends upon which resort and time of year. You can reasonably factor that club level will be $100-$500 more per night at the Deluxe level hotel.

We always suggest working with a travel agent – have your agent price out a regular deluxe hotel room and a club level room for your dates to get an exact comparison. You can see all the club level options here.
