Best Character Dining Disney World

We love doing character meals on our visits to Disney World. The biggest reason we love it is because of the efficiency of meeting the characters we want to see while combining it with eating a fun meal. As you probably already know, there are quite a few character meal options at Disney World, so which one should you choose?

We surveyed 545 people to find out which Disney World character dining is the best. We asked people, “What is your favorite character dining in Disney World?” The #1 answer was by far Akershus in EPCOT.

Disney Character Dining Ranked By Guests

  1. Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
  2. Crystal Palace
  3. Tusker House
  4. Cinderella’s Royal Table
  5. O’Hana
  6. Garden Grille
  7. Topolino’s
  8. Cape May
  9. Chef Mickey
  10. Storybook DIning
  11. Hollywood & Vine

Of course, a favorite restaurant is subjective. In order to choose which one YOU want to eat at, you need to ask yourself two questions:

First, which characters do you want to see? Are the Disney Princesses top on your list or are we more into Mickey Mouse and his friends, or possibly some character that is more unique?

Second, when do you want to see characters (breakfast, lunch or dinner)?  This is important because not all the character meals cater to all three meal options.

Character dining in Walt Disney World

After deciding which characters to visit and which meal to eat, there are some other considerations to take into account.

You need to think about the location (what Disney park or Disney resort is the restaurant located), food quality (some restaurants rank higher than others by guests consistently), food options, and price. Be aware that if you are on the meal plan, some will require 2 table service credits.

If you want to search by which character you want to see, use this chart. (please take into consideration that the Disney Characters listed does not mean they will absolutely, positively, without a doubt be at the restaurant but there is a good chance they will.)

Disney Princess Character Dining

There are two primary places to eat with a princess. Cinderella’s Royal Table and Akershus Royal Banquet Hall.

Ariel – Cinderella’s Royal Table and Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
Aurora – Cinderella’s Royal Table and Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
Belle – Cinderella’s Royal Table and Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
Cinderella – 1900 Park Fare, Cinderella’s Royal Table and Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
Jasmine – Cinderella’s Royal Table and Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
Snow White – Storybook Dining, Cinderella’s Royal Table and Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
Tiana – 1900 Park Fare and Akershus Royal Banquet Hall

You can’t go wrong at either of these places. Both are elegant and you will be visited by many princesses. The food at both is about equal but our nod is to Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. If dining in Cinderella’s Castle is on your bucket list then you will definitely want to visit Cinderella’s Royal Table.
