Olaf is one of the most lovable characters from Disney movies. From his hilarious quotes to being incredibly naive, the Frozen movies wouldn’t be the same without him! After the release of the first Frozen movie, Olaf quickly became one of our favorite characters.
Olaf was created from Elsa’s powers when Elsa and Anna were just little girls. He comes back when they’re all grown up after Elsa flees the kingdom of Arendelle by going to the north mountain and Anna searches for her to restore summer.
Olaf is incredibly kind, gentle and outgoing. He represents innocent love and joy between the two sisters. He dreams of warm summer days and basking in the sun. Did we mention he’s a snowman? Because he is. 🙂
Olaf is voiced by Josh Gad and is in both the Frozen 1 and Frozen 2 movies (along with a few tv shows as well!). In Frozen, Olaf sings “In Summer,” a song about Olaf imagining what it would be like in the heat of summertime.
In Frozen 2 he sings “When I am Older” while walking through the enchanted wood as he is trying to process his childish fears. Both of theses songs were written by songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.
