Figuring out what to wear to Walt Disney World can be quite a challenge! You want to be comfortable and cute. You want to embrace Disney style and wear clothes that contribute to Disney magic. It can be especially challenging to figure out what to wear to Disney World in the summer!
Summertime can be a challenging season of figuring out what to wear the Disney Parks. It can be brutally hot in Florida during the summer season. The humidity can be almost suffocating.
If you are mostly concerned about staying cool, we absolutely recommend dry-fit workout style clothing. These will stay drier than cotton or cotton blend clothing and overall make you much more comfortable.
That being said, there aren’t a ton of Disney themed dry fit clothes!
We decided to come up with 5 days worth of clothes that are Disney themed, yet will keep you as comfortable as possible while in Walt Disney World.
What to Wear to Disney World in Summer – 5 Outfit Ideas
Here is your park day outfit packing list:
- 3 Disney graphic tee shirts
- 2 Disney tank tops
- 5 total bottoms: denim shorts, workout shorts, biker shorts, skirt/skort
- Mickey or Minnie ears

Some things to consider:
You probably will not want to wear tank tops every day in order to make sure you do not get sunburned. Additionally, if you are carrying around a backpack, a t-shirt will be more comfortable.
As far as bottoms go, you will probably only want to pack one pair of jean shorts. They will not be super comfortable in the heat and humidity.
We recommend mostly packing biker shorts, athletic shorts, or skirts/skorts. Personally, we prefer to wear biker shorts while walking around the Disney Parks when it is extremely hot. Make sure you get the shorts that have cell phone pockets! Biker shorts prevent chafing and generally hold everything in without being consitricting.
Biker shorts can be very cute as long as you wear shirts that are long enough to make you comfortable. Make sure you try out your outfits in front of a mirror before you go on vacation to confirm you like the way everything looks!
We have put together 5 outfits to wear at the Disney Parks in the summer. Keep in mind, you can change up any of the bottoms!
Magic Kingdom Summer Outfit Idea
We love classic Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse for outfits at the Magic Kingdom! For this outfit, we chose a red “Home” graphic t-shirt, sparkly Minnie Mouse ears, and a classic black and white fanny pack. This particular shirt is sold out, but there are tons of options. The alternate option we love says “Believe” with a Minnie bow, Walt and Mickey, and the Castle

EPCOT Summer Outfit Idea
For EPCOT we chose a flow pink tank top, Disney ears that have the pattern of the EPCOT ball, and a fanny pack that has a futuristic feel to it!
